Downloading walls and floors:

All walls and floors are contained separately in a Zip file. To download a file, just click on the image or title of the wall/floor you want. A window will appear asking you to either Save or Open the selected file. Click on Save and then select the folder in your computer where you want the file to be saved in [I recommend creating a separate folder for your Sim downloads, so you always know where they all are]. Now, the window will show you the download process. When it's over, click on Close [to close the window and install the file later] or Open [to install it immediately].


 

 

 

 

Opening the Zip file and installing walls or floors:

You will need to unzip the Zip file you just downloaded with WinZip or a similar program. You can get WinZip here for free. Right click on the file you want to open and choose Open With WinZip (or your other program) or by running your unzipping program and then opening the file.  When the file is open extract the .wll (wall) file to the following directory: \Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Walls, or when installing floors extract the .flr (floor) file to the following directory: \Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Floors. The Maxis directory should be located in C:\Program Files if you followed the default installation.
